The Center for U.S. Voters Abroad Turnout Project is a nonpartisan nonprofit that helps U.S. citizens overseas register and request their ballots. If something on this site is not working, or you are stuck on the form, we would like to hear about it.

— usually the fastest route, and the right one if you are partway through the form.
Email info@usvotersabroad.org. We read everything, though we are a small team and cannot always reply quickly in the weeks before an election.
Questions we cannot answer for you
We are an independent nonprofit, not a government body and not part of the Federal Voting Assistance Program. Some questions can only be answered by the office that holds your record:
- Whether your registration was accepted, or your ballot sent.
- Why a form was rejected, and what to do about it.
- Whether a ballot you returned has arrived and been counted.
Those all go to your local election official — the county or municipal office covering your last U.S. address.
You may find it faster here
- Frequently asked questions — eligibility, cost, what happens to your information.
- How overseas voting works — the whole cycle, step by step.
- Your state’s deadlines and ballot rules.
